Wild India
India is home to more than 400 species of mammals including Asian rhinoceros, Asiatic lions, snow leopards, Indian leopards, Indian sloth bear, Asian elephants and the Bengal tiger. It is the only country in the world where lions and tigers coexist in the wild. Despite India's dense population, they have more than 103 national parks, 18 Bio-reserves and more than 500 wildlife sanctuaries across the country and it contains 70 percent of the world's total tiger population. Tigers are listed on the IUCN red list as critically endangered. India is the best place to still see tigers in the wild.
